Valentine's Day is regarded as the 'Most Romantic Day of the Year.' According to the Huffington Post, over 14 million marriage proposals were planned/expected on Valentine's Day in 2013. So, in three years, we can only assume this number has gone up.
That's a lot of proposals, but we're betting some of you goofballs waited until the last-minute to plan how you'd pop the question. If this is you, don't worry! At Candid Brilliance Music, we've got your back. Here are three last-minute proposal ideas for Valentine's Day.
The Secret is in the Scenery
If you don't have time for an elaborate proposal, find a breathtaking landscape to ask for thy lady's hand. However, (*PAY ATTENTION - THIS IS IMPORTANT*) don't expect the scenery to do all the work! You still have the responsibility of coming up with a one-of-a-kind memory and proposing in a way that suits your partner's needs.
What do I mean by this? Well, for instance, if your significant other doesn't like public displays of affection, do not, I repeat, DO NOT force a public proposal. Whether or not your special someone approves of this sort of thing is something you'll want to find out beforehand.
Don't overlook a special place to the two of you. The location doesn't have to be breathtaking if it has an important meaning to your partnership. This can be a favorite park bench, pair of movie seats, or anything really, as long as it holds value.
Use the Element of Surprise
The above video is a prime example of a simple marriage proposal, using the element of surprise. It can be as easy as blindfolding your partner (as seen above) or as complicated as a scavenger hunt, wild goose chase type proposal.
These things, generally, don't take an extraordinary amount of time to plan. They can, however, take a lot of logistics, so just be sure you have the resources to coordinate a more complicated plan. I'd suggest involving some of her own friends/family to assist you. Have your partners in crime keep you updated on the status of the scavenger hunt and location of your significant other, so you can be prepared for your big moment.
Include a Musician
Nothing breathes more life into a situation than live music. If you're a last-minute marriage proposal kinda person, this can be a VERY beneficial addition to your plan. Music naturally brings out emotion, so hire a musician and pick out one of your significant other's favorite romantic tunes. Combine this suggestion with one of our above two, and you've got yourself a romantic, spontaneous moment to ask for her hand in.
At Candid Brilliance Music, we have a special offer for you to do just that. If you hire one of our professional violinists for your marriage proposal, we will provide a photographer to document your beautiful moment! Be sure to capture her look in her eyes when she says, "YES!!!"
